Todd has 23 years of real estate experience in the
Charlotte, NC MSA market. Prior to the inception of Carolina Capital Land Partners,
Todd spent 19 years with the national home building giant, Centex. As Vice
President of Land for Centex’s Charlotte division, Todd was responsible for the
acquisition, entitlement, and development of land and also worked extensively
on the strategic marketing side of the business. He worked on projects that
cumulatively produced over $2.1 billion in revenue and individual deals that
ranged up to $45m in purchase price. Todd has worked on many large and
high-profile rezoning cases with great successes in garnering both political
and community support. He also helped author numerous creative solutions in
dealing with neighbors and politicians that provided a win-win for both the
company and the community.
Todd is active with REBIC (Real Estate Building Industry
Coalition) and SPPACE (Shelter Providers Political Action Committee). He holds
real estate broker’s licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Rob is a Partner and founding member of Berkeley Capital
Advisors, LLC, which was formed in 1997. He is engaged in the brokerage of
investment real estate throughout the Southeast and has been in commercial real
estate sales since 1982. He is one of the Southeast’s most productive
investment brokers, specializing in the sale of retail shopping centers and
malls, freestanding single-tenant retail properties, office buildings and
apartment properties. Rob has represented a variety of private, public and institutional
clients in their property acquisitions and dispositions and has structured
numerous investment partnerships, debt placements and joint venture facilities.
During his career, Rob has arranged over $3 billion in investment transactions.Prior to the inception of Berkeley Capital
Advisors, LLC, Rob was with Lat Purser & Associates, Inc. (Charlotte, NC)
from 1986 – 1997.
Rob served on the Board of Charlotte Hospice between 2000
and 2009. He currently serves on the Board of the Central Avenue Bilingual
Preschool and was the founder of Chameleons Journey, a Hospice sponsored grief
camp for children.
John R. (Johnny) Belk

Johnny is Chief Operating Officer of Belk, Inc.Belk, Inc., together with its subsidiaries,
is the largest privately owned department store business in the United States
with total revenues of approximately $3.35 billion for the fiscal year 2010.
Belk, Inc. and its predecessors have been successfully operating department
stores since 1888 by seeking to provide superior service and merchandise that
meets customers’ needs for fashion, value, and quality.At the end of fiscal year 2010, the Company
operated 305 retail department stores in 16 states, primarily in the Southern
United States. There is no business connection between Belk, Inc. and CCLP.
Johnny serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of
Novant Health, Inc. based in Winston Salem, NC.He has been a Director of Ruddick Corporation since 1997 and served on
the corporate boards of Alltel Corporation from 1996 to 2007 and the Bank
America Corporation from 2001 to 2004.

Shawn moved to Charlotte in 1989 after graduating from North
Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil
Engineering.
In the fall of 1989, Shawn began working at the Mecklenburg
County Engineering Department where he worked for 10 years providing
transportation planning and engineering support for various government agencies
including the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission and the Mecklenburg
County Board of County Commissioners.He
also provided transportation consulting support and services for several
municipalities including Huntersville, Matthews and Mint Hill.
Shawn began working in the private sector in 1999, when he
became the Charlotte Division Manager for The McAlpine Group; a Charlotte based
residential land development company.He
ran the Charlotte division and was responsible for all aspects of land
entitlement, land development and lot sales to various local and national
homebuilders in the Charlotte market.
In 2004, Shawn became the Land Acquisition and Development
Manager for the Lennar Corporation, one of the largest homebuilding companies
in the country.At Lennar, he directed
the land acquisition, land development and land management operations in the
Charlotte market.This included
acquiring vacant tracts of land and developing them into finished residential
communities as well as negotiating and purchasing finished lots from local and
national land developers in the Charlotte and surrounding markets.While at Lennar, he managed land assets of
approximately $20 million in value at any given time.In his career, Shawn has directly managed the
development of over 2,500 residential lots in the Charlotte market.
Since leaving Lennar in June 2007, Shawn has been a partner
in several real estate investment ventures and development companies and has
provided land development consulting in the Charlotte area market for many
clients including builders, banks, and the FDIC.

Richard G. (Dick) Sesler
Advisory Board Member
Dick retired in 2007 as a founding Principal with Guggenheim
Real Estate. He had regional responsibility for the Southeast, Midwest, and
Middle Atlantic United States.
Prior to joining Guggenheim Real Estate, Dick was Managing
Partner of Faison Capital Advisors, as a fiduciary managing real estate assets
on behalf of tax-exempt investors, foreign institutions, and high-net-worth
individuals.
During his real estate career, Dick has acquired, on behalf
of clients, a diverse universe of real estate assets, including undervalued
non-performing properties, discounted notes, mezzanine loans, CMBS’s and CBO’s,
development joint ventures, and limited partnership interests.He was the founding partner of three real
estate investment and finance organizations.Rick is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a MBA from
Washington University of St. Louis.
Dick is the founder of the Sequoyah Star Foundation, whose
mission is to enhance the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities and
their caregivers by providing opportunities for life-skills education through
recreation and socialization.
Darren W. Ash

Darren serves as the Director and founder of a new
innovative multi-agency permanent supportive housing solution in Charlotte
called WISH (Workforce Initiative for Supportive Housing).WISH takes selected “homeless or near
homeless” working families with children directly from the shelters and places
them in quality vacant apartments with a full array of wrap-around supportive
services including social workers and volunteer teams.Existing agencies (Crisis Assistance
Ministry, Lutheran Family Services, Goodwill Industries and A Way Home) execute
the WISH Program.No services in the
community are duplicated and no new agencies were created. The United Way has
called WISH the most collaborative initiative in Charlotte in 30 years.
Prior to WISH, Darren was a founding partner of Apartment
Realty Advisors, the second largest apartment investment sales company in the
nation.He sold his business interest in
ARA in 2007 to devote full-time efforts toward running the WISH Program as its
“unpaid” Director.
Earlier, Darren worked as a CPA in the tax department for
Price Waterhouse and then as an Acquisitions Manager in Atlanta for the Portman
Companies.He also served as Senior Vice
President and Eastern Regional Acquisitions Director in Atlanta for Metric
Institutional Realty Advisors (now SSR Realty Advisors).As Acquisitions Director, Darren was
personally responsible for over $300 million in apartment
acquisitions/dispositions made on behalf of various public pension funds,
primarily CALPERs and CALSTRs.
He has served on eight homeless boards in Charlotte over the
past 13 years, and has served on the steering committees of the Mecklenburg
County 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness and Housing Charlotte 2007.He is a featured speaker to numerous groups
regarding homelessness and affordable housing.
Memberships include being an active member of the National
Multi-Housing Council, an active board member for several not-for-profit
agencies that deal with homelessness issues including the Men’s Uptown Shelter,
the Charlotte Rescue Mission, the Emergency Winter Shelter, and Away Home.He was a former founding Board Member of the
Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (East Coast).
Darren is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a
Bachelor Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree of Accounting (Tax Law,
Magna cum Laude).
